Shooting some of the finest driven Partridges Spain has to offer
El Crespo is one of Spain’s most highly regarded partridge shoots renowned for its exceptional variety, breathtaking scenery, and impeccable hospitality.
Situated in the heart of the province of Ciudad Real, the estate stretches across vast, flat plains that unfurl before the lodge, offering immense and far-reaching vistas. Yet, just behind the main house, the landscape transforms dramatically: El Crespo plunges into a tapestry of rolling valleys, deep historic riverbeds, and gullies, carved over melena. These striking features, some spanning hundreds of meters in width, offer not only spectacular backdrops but also some of the most exciting shooting in Spain.
Within easy reach of the lodge, guests also experience more traditional Spanish drives, where sweeping, sloped arable fields dotted with ancient evergreen oaks create a quintessential setting for Spanish partridge shooting. This diverse topography, a patchwork of open plains, dramatic ravines, and scrubby hillsides, enables us to offer a superb variety of drives and birds, catering to every preference and ability.
A typical day at El Crespo consists of five carefully curated drives. Under the expert guidance of Pedro, the dedicated host, each drive is chosen to showcase the unique character of the estate and to provide a dynamic and memorable experience.
Throughout the day, each gun is accompanied by a personal Loader and Secretario. Your loader, will assist with double gunning to ensure a seamless rhythm to your shooting, meanwhile, your Secretario will discreetly manage your peg, helping as needed and keeping a tally of the game you shoot.
The pre-agreed bag is typically spread across two days and is usually managed with precision. For those wishing to shoot beyond their share of the allocated bag, the Secretario system allows any overages to be recorded and settled individually, enabling those who wish to shoot more to do so without affecting the rest of the team.
